Abstract
The study explored the relationship between internalized shame and interpersonal problems for adult children of parents with substance use disorders. The results showed that offspring’s PTSD symptoms predicted their greater interpersonal problems. Mediation analysis showed that internalized shame was a significant partial mediator in this relationship.
