A Mobile Study Approach Training

A preregistered experimental study tested a smartphone-based approach–avoidance training to boost students’ implicit motivation. In a randomized trial (N=304), students swiped study images toward themselves and non-study images away. Compared to controls, the intervention significantly increased positive implicit study attitudes and study identification as measured with implicit association tests.
