Abstract

Using spoken and typed daily diaries, we examined whether language markers map onto internalizing symptom domains assessed using the IDAS-II. Depression-related patterns emerged, but language features did not differentiate specific internalizing components. Spoken and typed diaries showed consistent linguistic differences, underscoring the importance of modality in language-based mental health measurement.
