Perceived Risk and Review Decisions for Politically Sensitive Research Protocols

This study examines whether politically sensitive educational research elicits heightened perceived risk and stricter review determinations. Participants will evaluate matched IRB protocols differing only in topic sensitivity. A secondary exploratory component submits the same protocols to Texas IRBs. Sensitive protocols are expected to receive lower approval likelihood and increased scrutiny.
