Abstract

We compared color-blind racial ideology before and after a turning point in the American sociopolitical context. Among diverse college students (N = 998), we found that while policy changes did not predict shifts in CBRI, group differences emerged. Implications for the role of politics in shaping racial attitudes are discussed.
