Abstract

This proposed study examines whether cognitive and affective Theory of Mind predict age-related reductions in autobiographical memory specificity. Younger and older adults will recall autobiographical events and complete targeted social-cognitive measures. Findings are expected to clarify how distinct social–cognitive processes contribute to episodic specificity in aging.
