Suicidal Ideation Is Dynamic: Onset, Duration, and Variability Inform Model Building

Suicidal remains poorly understood, partly because existing theories are verbal and lack precise characterization of suicidal thoughts and attempts. This rapid review will synthesize empirical evidence on descriptive phenomena such as duration, onset, intensity, temporal trends to inform future mathematical models of suicide as a complex dynamical system.​​
