Abstract

Across two daily-diary studies (N=738), intellectual humility predicted lower daily negative affect. Mediation analyses indicated this link operated through greater exposure to daily uplifts, rather than changes in affective reactivity (moderation pathway). Intellectual humility appears to support well-being by influencing the frequency of everyday experiences.
