Abstract

This proposal aims to understand whether bilingualism can serve as a cognitive reserve proxy for well-preserved high-level text comprehension processes during aging. Both behavioral and ERP measures will be used. If confirmed, our findings would indicate that second language acquisition can mitigate the effects of age-related cognitive decline
