Abstract

Does prejudice towards dating apps destroy first impressions? 207 single adults evaluated the profile of a potential partner randomly presented as originating from Tinder or Facebook. High pre-existing prejudice, when evaluating a Tinder user, led participants to spend less time forming an impression, and prejudice alone increased negative traits attribution.
