Abstract
New pre and post data from 148 male adolescents attending a six-month residential outdoor education program involving total digital disconnection were analysed. ANOVA results showed increased life satisfaction, while qualitative analysis identified improved wellbeing, enhanced connection to nature and the increased self-reflection and interpersonal skills necessary for identity development.
