Abstract
This study examined age differences in autobiographical memory and plausibility judgments. Participants across three age groups generated childhood memories and rated their emotional valence and the plausibility of positive and negative childhood events. Older adults showed a positivity effect in memory, whereas plausibility judgments did not follow the same pattern.
