Abstract
Guided by asset-based frameworks, we conducted multilevel growth curve analyses to examine literacy trajectories among children born to adolescent mothers (n = 330, Mage = 9.47-years-at-baseline). Literacy differences were largely explained by socioeconomic factors, such as maternal education and income, which partially accounted for observed racial and ethnic disparities.
