Abstract
We investigated how language context modulates collaborative inhibition (lower recall in interacting groups). Participants recalled studied words individually or in groups in the same language of encoding (match condition) or in a different language (mismatch condition). Recall was lower in the mismatch condition, with equivalent collaborative inhibition in both conditions.
