Sense of Agency and Risk-Taking: The Role of Predictability

Sense of agency (SoA) and risk-taking behavior were examined in laboratory experiments. Action–outcome delay increased perceived uncertainty and decreased risk-taking but did not alter SoA. Outcome predictability altered SoA, perceived predictability, and risk-taking. Perceived predictability may play a more central role in risk-taking than SoA.
