Abstract
We investigated how uncertainty in information availability and reliability influences the value of information. Using fMRI during a probabilistic reversal-learning task, we show that uncertainty modulates information-seeking behaviour and the activation within reward and cognitive control circuits. These findings highlighting the critical role of uncertainty in guiding decisions under ambiguity.
