Abstract
Using intersectionality theory, we examined developmental dyslexia diagnosis disparities. Of 197 participants, 15 reported a diagnosis (73% were white), yet 48 (24.37%) met standardized testing criteria for diagnosis classification. A greater proportion meeting criteria belonged to a marginalized racial group. Stigma and stereotype threat may explain these disparities.
