Abstract
We recorded search efficiency and oculomotor behaviour in 178 adult searchers during a dual-target search task. Eye movements revealed an initial global scene survey, absent in subsequent search, suggesting observed efficiency impairments stemmed from spatial biases formed during first-target detection.
