Abstract

This study examined state–trait characteristics and metacognitive skills in probabilistic reasoning under Certainty and Uncertainty (N=118; 79.66% women; M age=27.09). Expressive suppression significantly interacted with task condition: moderate levels reduced errors under Uncertainty but increased errors under Certainty, revealing context-dependent effects of emotional regulation strategies.
