Abstract

This study tested an AI-guided value-clarification and wise-reasoning intervention among Chinese university students (N=111). AI-wise reasoning improved value clarity, authenticity, and agency, while questionnaire-wise prompts enhanced wise reasoning. Linguistic analyses showed deeper cognitive processing under wise prompts. Findings highlight AI’s potential and limits in shaping reflective growth.
