Discrepant Self-Esteem and Body Image Among Female Undergraduate Students

This study demonstrated that women with discrepant high self-esteem (high explicit but low implicit) and those with discrepant low self-esteem (low explicit but high implicit) reported less discrepancy between their current and ideal body size than women with congruent self-esteem (high or low on both explicit and implicit measures).
