Abstract

Whether non-naïveté for each task was manipulated within or between-subjects, 9 of 12 JDM tasks yielded the same significant effects as the original experiment. However, manipulating non-naïveté by explicitly telling participants the study’s true purpose did not consistently yield larger effect sizes as has been found for feeling state tasks.
