Abstract

We assessed whether monolinguals and bilinguals showed differences in visual and verbal working memory updating. There were 60 participants (Mage = 20.00, SD = 2.22; monolinguals = 21, bilinguals = 28, polylinguals = 11). Results showed that bilinguals significantly outperformed monolinguals on the processing of verbal stimuli.
