Abstract
Anxiety symptoms amongst justice-involved youth are linked with sleep problems after 12 months; this association appears to be mediated by substance use. Elevated levels of anxiety were followed by increased marijuana use and binge drinking 6 months after symptoms were detected, subsequently linked to sleep problems at the 12-month follow-up.
