Perceptual Load Modulates Visual Recognition: Higher Accuracy Under Low-Load Conditions

We examined how perceptual load affects visual recognition. There were 100 participants ( M-age = 21). Accuracy was higher and reaction times were faster under low load, whereas high load increased errors and slowed responses. These findings support perceptual load as a key factor shaping visual processing efficiency.
