Are Achievement Actions Accompanied By Charity Viewed Favorably?

This study revealed that, using scenario-based methods with 277 Japanese university students, while actors' motivation was predicted to remain high in situations where their own achievement actions also contributed to others' benefits or the public good—such as in charity marathons—their ethical standards were assessed as low.
