Abstract
Among 230 Chinese adults (Mage = 30.9; 57% female), emotion dysregulation, negative urgency (NU), and positive urgency (PU) all predicted eating disorder (ED) symptoms. Unexpectedly, NU and PU each negatively moderated the relationship between emotion dysregulation and ED symptoms, indicating complex emotion-based pathways to ED symptoms in a cross-cultural context.
