The Impact of Medical Cannabis Use on Mental Health Symptoms Among Older Adults with Chronic Pain: Early Findings from a Prospective Cohort with Control

Abstract
Medical cannabis’(MC) long-term impact on mental health symptoms in people with chronic pain remains understudied. We compared 12-month outcomes among older adults who initiated MC vs. did not use MC for chronic pain from a prospective cohort and found that MC use was associated with persistent improvement in depression symptoms.
