Abstract
Qualitative interviews were conducted with ten university students in Aotearoa who met criteria for a mental health condition and had sought treatment. Three themes were developed to describe pathways to treatment: (1) interactions within existing relationships, (2) experiences of excessive impairment or distress, and (3) experiential knowledge from prior treatment.
