Abstract
Caffeine’s influence on anxiety was measured using self-report and behavioral tasks. Participants (n=100) completed the BAI, PANAS, and the emotional Stroop, Dot-probe, and IAPS rating tasks after consuming caffeine or water. Caffeine increased self-reported anxiety scores on the BAI and decreased response time on all other measures.
