Abstract

This study confirmed the structure of a new 16-item Economic and Relational Greed Scale. Scores correlated with childhood family chaos, psychological functioning, relational capacities (including weak empathy and engagement), and unpredictability beliefs.  The unpredictability beliefs - greed association was partially mediated by sadism, lack of empathy, and sense of scarcity.
