Abstract

The study explored whether anomalous experiences function as a mental health resilience factor against childhood trauma. Using a representative Brazilian sample (n=2010) and validated measures, results supported a protective role for specific experiences, while confirming that exposure to childhood trauma predicts impaired mental health. Effects varied across mental health indicators.
