Learning Traps Reduce Caution: Described through a Drift Diffusion Model

Abstract
Learning traps reduce recognition sensitivity for easily discriminable feature edits. In a sample of 134 participants, recognition d′ was significantly lower for those in a learning trap, but only when old–new distinctions were clear. These results suggest that learning traps narrow attentional allocation even when features are highly distinctive.
