Abstract

We utilized structural equation modeling to examine the relationships between intersectional adversities, mental health, and cardiovascular disease risk among 117 Black women living with HIV in South Florida. Microaggressions stemming from HIV stigma and gendered racism and lifetime trauma exposure were positively associated with traumatic stress and depression symptoms.
