Mismatch Matters: Parent–Child Discrepancies and Family Functioning In Latinx Dyads

Limited work has examined parent–child discrepancies in behaviors among ethnic-minorities, which may be important for understanding patterns of family functioning.  Latinx dyads (n=234) showed poor agreement on internalizing and externalizing problem behaviors; problem behavior discrepancies were associated with intergenerational cultural conflict, and internalizing discrepancies were associated with family conflict.
