“As Long As They Have Us, I Feel like It’s Okay”: Community-Partnered Approaches to Developing a Trauma-Informed Afterschool Program

This project explores the mental health needs of and potential barriers to implementing mental health support for youth at a community center afterschool program. The mentors’ primary concerns are the youth’s externalizing behaviors and mental health coping strategies. Additionally, the mentors highlighted the need for more organizational support and training.
