Abstract
In a replication-plus-extention, we tested the mediating effects of appreciation of remaining time, future time perspective, and future self-continuity in the relationship between age and two well-being outcomes. All three indirect effects were significant. Results are discussed in light of Socioemotional Selectivity Theory and the emerging literature on future self-continuity.
