Abstract
College students do not learn well from textbooks. Picture books offer learning-related advantages. In this empirical study, college students (n=290) were randomized to read a picture book or textbook passage on self-control. Picture books taught students as well as textbooks, while increasing student enjoyment, affect, and intention to use material.
