Abstract
Adolescents in Latin America face high levels of community violence exposure, yet little is known about how parental knowledge (monitoring, solicitation, disclosure) operates in these contexts. This study examines family cohesion across rural and urban Mexico, testing whether family cohesion strengthens these protective processes in violence-endemic settings.
