Abstract
We examined predictors of current and expected well-being in over 200,000 participants from the Global Flourishing Study using Stochastic Variable Search Selection. Sense of purpose and physical health influenced both outcomes. Current well-being was associated with immediate circumstances, while future expected well-being was linked with future-oriented beliefs and past experiences.
