Abstract
This study examined psychosocial pathways linking adverse childhood experiences to alcohol-related consequences among 3,763 university students across seven countries. Validated psychological measures assessed ACEs, self-regulation, depression, anxiety, and alcohol outcomes. Results identified sequential mediations and highlighted the importance of early interventions that strengthen self-regulation (i.e., self-awareness, breathing exercises, emotional regulation).
