Abstract
This study examined whether self-compassion reduces action crises during goal pursuit and whether self-access explains this effect. In a six-month multi-wave study (N = 303), self-compassion predicted higher self-access, which in turn facilitated changes in action crises. Thus, self-access may be a key mechanism linking self-compassion to resolving action crises.
