Abstract
Using metadata from 178 panel studies and an online survey among submission authors (N = 339; ~46% response rate), we examine whether gender, seniority, and parenthood affect authorship and leaving academia. Covariables comprise grit, impostor feelings, perceived pressure to publish, and likelihood to write up or (re-)submit research findings.
