Neural Network Methods of Explaining and Manipulating Warmth and Competence Judgments In Face Images

We developed a neural network method for manipulating warmth and competence impressions in face images. Building on evidence that these dimensions are visually encoded, we use optimal transport principles to manipulate warmth and competence features. Two studies (N=2159) validated our approach, which will be released soon as open-source software.
