Identifying Response Processes through Eye-Movement: Item Features That Attract Respondents’ Gaze

This project examines how lexical frequency, sentence length, syntactic complexity, and emotionality influence response processes using web-based eye-movement data and MVPA. Across four studies, we test whether these features, especially syntactic complexity, alter fixation patterns. Findings will inform validity-evidence practices and optimize educational and psychological assessments design.
