Abstract
We built a 2946-image normative dataset of object typicality and ran recognition experiments, showing that typical lures impair recognition immediately and increasingly with delay, for lures tied to studied and, surprisingly, to unstudied objects. This reveals co-occurring representational drift of encoded traces and a global retrieval bias toward typical attractors.
