Abstract

We examined the context independence assumption of the horse race model in the stop-signal paradigm by systematically analysing publicly available datasets. Contrary to earlier research, and based on data from 109 conditions, our results showed no systematic violations, indicating the paradigm remains a robust tool for measuring response inhibition.
