Habit, Reward, and Social Learning In Online Posting Behaviour

We modeled posting behaviour using 3.3M Bluesky posts from 500 users, comparing habit, reward, and social learning models. We find that posting behavior reflects stable habitual choice patterns, reward-based updating from likes, and social influence from posts observed in one’s network, rather than any single decision mechanism.
