Abstract
For the first time in sustainability psychology, we investigated objective effort intensity mirrored by cardiac PEP reactivity in a pro-environmental decision-making task. As expected, a difficult pro-environmental decision required higher effort than an easy one. This provides an extension of the principles of Motivational Intensity Theory to the decision-making process.
