Abstract

We investigate the relationship between false recall and recognition and autistic traits in a neurotypical sample using the Deese-Roedinger-McDermott paradigm. Autistic traits, measured through the Short Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ-Short), were not associated with false recall or recognition, suggesting that their memory mechanisms may differ from those clinically diagnosed with autism.
